Video server?
I'm tossing around the idea of building a video server. Not to encode but to record from security cameras. Perhaps also to serve as a media server for the house.
Is there any good Mac software to accomplish the recording aspect of this?

Re: Video server?
Talked to buddy that is into video and he suggested you look at ElGato and SageTV though it might not apply to what you need.

Re: Video server?
Hmm...both seem to sell some cool stuff, however not quite what I'm looking for as far as I can tell.
ElGato is more or less TV tuner software and gadgets so you can watch TV on your Apple computers. SageTV is more or less the same with a few more options.
