| Review: Apple Pro Training Series: Final Cut Express HD I got this book prior to starting a decent sized project DVD. I had never done a project of that size or used FCP Express. The good news is that this book was a great help and worth every penny. I walks you though in a logical progression that even allowed me to work in parallel with reading. Though I worked in parallel I had very little redo work. A couple of things that it lacks though was good information on trouble shooting and LiveType 2. I did have a strange problem with FCP Express that was corrupting files that I had to go online at Apple support to find an answer (after a bunch of searching). Also once I figured out Livetype the stuff you can do is stunning. With a better set of instructions I could have done much more though. This program is much more powerful than iMovie but has an equally higher learning curve. One thing that is kind of irritating is that there is appendixes on the DVD that are very good. I bought a book because I wanted dead trees to learn from not a computer program. Be sure to look at the DVD though as they were great information. Overall though I have to go a full four hooves up for this book.
