This is a great book for introductory programming for Mac OS X. It starts with a high level Objective C chapter. The a logical progression of topics of components you will need to create a Cocoa application.

The writing style is very easy to read and understand. Generally I found the book to be fairly accurate. For an experienced programmer this would be a quick read yet still a worthwhile starting point.

Now the only down. Parts will be obsolete soon when Cocoa goes to Objective C 2.0. The good news is that it should actually get easier when garbage collection becomes standard.

Overall I give this 3 1/2 hooves up.
