Do you have a Linksys router?

If so check your firmware level. There was a patch for mine that fixes the Linux kernel vulnerability. I would consider this a must for security

Hmmm....I'll have to check mine once I get home. I've been meaning to update the firmware to a different version, but haven't gotten around to it.
