Is it too much to ask for birthday reminders?

Apple, are you listening? How hard is it to have the calendar service trigger an alert on birthdays that are in the Address Book?

Nope. I wouldn't think it would take too much to have iCal read the fields out of Address Book though. Same for anniversaries.

Go to Preferences in iCal and in the General tab there is an option for Show Birthdays Calendar. However you can not edit it so might not be able to set an Alarm (but they will show up)
