I colryn, do confess that I am a geek as well. I do not know the extreme of plight. But, I do own more than a few (5 to be exact) computers in my house. One is an IBM T42P laptop dual boot of XPPro/Fedora Core 6. Another computer is box running Solaris 10 for testing purposes. I have two other boxes running XP for my four children. I have another Linux box up in the laundry room that is my server running Fedora Core 6.

Finally I have a new love of mine which is my iMac. It is a G5 2Ghz processor with 1G of Ram. The funny thing is I never planned on getting a mac since the last time I owned a mac product. The machine was a Apple IIGS. Shows how long it has been since owning a plle product.

I bought my imac because I bought an ipod. I know it sounds weird buying a computer because of an ipod but it is true. I fell in love with an ipod. I heard a member (LTL) from another forum that a ipod will run faster on mac formatted ipod.

I will also confess that I do not know much OSX. I am still learing. I see that the file strucucture is close to *ix but not so close. I am learning.

Anyway, that is a short blurb be that as it may.
