PC I really dislike D*LL

A buddy brought me his PC to get it fixed up because it blew up on him after he uninstalled some software. I haven't done much work on PCs in recent years so I've sort of thinned out my 'pile o crap'. Turns out, he has Windows XP Media Center Edition installed. I do not have a copy of this so unfortunately I really can't do much - since neither does he. He bought the computer new and has no idea what he did with the software. Before I could even begin to look at it though, it turns out I can't hook up my Cinema Display to it because it does not have a DVI port, only VGA. How are you going to build a Media Center PC and NOT put a DVI port on it?

I have an old PC laying around(by old, I mean circa 2003) with a removable video card, however, there's no matching slot on the inside of the Dell. My video card is AGP 4x-ish, so it's understandable. But have I mentioned that there's no DVI port on a Media Center PC?
